I finally finished my Christmas baking this year and have a bunch of left over ingredients just hanging around my kitchen. In the spirit of saving money, I decided to use some of the left over ingredients to make some great beauty products.
Baking Soda
Professional whitening doesn’t come cheap and the kits you can buy at your local drugstore aren’t exactly inexpensive themselves. Baking soda is a great inexpensive way to whiten your teeth. When mixed with water the chemical make up starts to change. The baking soda combines with stains then lightens the yellow or brown stains to give off a much white look. Here is an easy how to whiten with baking soda. Baking soda is also a skin care tool!
Eggs
I always buy way too many eggs when I do my crazy baking and for good reason too! I love the oil zapping effect that an egg facial gives. When you put an egg on your face, the water of the egg evaporates; leaving an egg film then the film will tighten on your skin because of the water loss. Take a look this site for some super easy facial mask. For the daring here is a site full of egg hair masks.
