I'm a huge fan of Groupon and all the daily deal websites. You can get some really amazing buys and save a ton of money. Sometimes you can buy them and not be able to use them for some reason. I will admit I have purchased a few vouchers, printed them then realized I won't be able to use them in time. Rather than throwing my money away I resell them! Luckily, I've only done this a handful of times. Here are a few of my favorite sites to resell those vouchers.
- Lifesta.com - Lifesta.com is a virtual marketplace for folks looking to sell or purchase deals that were once on Living Social, Buy With Me and about 70 or so more. You pick the deal, pay using Amazon payments and download the voucher right away. Lifesta guarantees that each voucher is authentic and will refund your money if the voucher isn't valid within 60 days of your purchase.
- CoupRecoup - This site allows you to resell vouchers bought on any group buying site. CoupRecoup.com brings together buyers and sellers of local coupons in this "Craiglist for Groupons" marketplace. You have to use the same email address that you bought the original coupon. Listings expire when the deal expires.
- DealsGoRound - This free site allows you to browse deals from 24 group buying sites. If you bought a deal which you no longer need, sell it. If you missed out on a deal that is no longer available, find it. If someone wants to buy your deal DealsGoRound will put you in touch with them and you finish from there.
- Dealigee - Dealigee is a place to buy and resell daily deal vouchers. You can resell any deal you bought but no longer can use or buy deals you missed. Dealigee blends Facebook into their website with their own Facebook application. To put up a listing you must validate your PayPal account to verify your really you which helps protect the buyers. Dealigee allows sellers to have a "buy now price" or allow buyers to make bids like eBay. Listings expire within 30 days.
I would also like to add another player into the mix http://www.skeedka.com a platform that facilitates the exchange of unused daily deal vouchers. As a member you are able to buy and sell daily deals that were previously sold on any of the "daily deal" sites.
They offer several options to buy and sell daily deals. Buyers are given the opportunity to buy, bid on, or make offers for unused vouchers. Traditional "daily deal" resale sites except dealigee really only allow the purchase through a fixed price. On Skeedka Sellers can sell through an auction style listings, fixed price, or choose to accept best offers. You will also notice that they have several options when posting your deal for "auction" it can be done for a 1, 3, 7, or 14 days.
Skeedka.com requires sellers to go through a identity validation process. They also require sellers to provide their credit card number, in order to use tools such as MasterCard SecureCode and Verified by Visa to ensure that Sellers are authenticated. It is also refreshing to know that they retain ownership of the deal voucher as long as the deal is posted on their website. If sold it is released to the buyer instantly.
