Hey everyone, I'm Josh and thanks for coming back to read another one of my posts here on Be Frugal. In past posts, I've touched on several topics ranging from credit cards to credit scores to debt and several other things in between. But, every thing that I've written has been something that would help the average consumer along the path of a frugal, financially stable lifestyle. That being said, today, I'm going to tell you about 3 things that you can do to be even more frugal. So, lets get started...
Buy The Sunday Paper
I know what you're thinking, how does spending money help anyone to be frugal? Well, it's pretty simple, the Sunday paper runs anywhere from $1 to $2 depending on where you are. But, it's loaded with coupons for every day things that, chances are, you are going to buy within the next month. Every Sunday, you have the opportunity to spend one dollar to save ten, twenty or more in return! Also, consider looking online for great coupons any time you are going to buy anything that costs more than $20. You can usually find a good chunk of savings printable on a coupon website.
Get Cash Back When You Spend Money
Alright everyone, I've got something to confess, I don't just write for Be Frugal occasionally, I actually use the website from time to time. There are tons of great ways to get double your cash back using a cash back credit card! I'm sure some people come and read a few articles and say, “hmmm, I'll get started later.” But why when you could be saving right now! It takes no time to sign up so, what are you waiting for?
Make A Budget Spreadsheet
Having a budget that you stick to is essential to a financially stable lifestyle. And, the truth is, making a budget spreadsheet really isn't a difficult process. Simply open up a Google Drive spreadsheet and type in all financial information you want to track. For a step by step guide to making one, read my recent article, How To Make A Budget Spreadsheet. Having a spreadsheet will allow you to easily track your income, expenses, debts, savings and financial goals. They are the foundation of a financially stable household!
Final Thoughts
These are three great things that you can do today to be more frugal! Now, once you get started with these and get comfortable in making them part of your day to day habits, it's time to get creative and think of new ways to be more frugal!
