On September 1st, FTD celebrates its 16th annual Good Neighbor Day. On this day, participating stores around the country give away free bouquets of flowers to customers in hopes of spreading friendship and kindness.
The idea is that each recipient of these free bouquets will keep one flower for him or herself and distribute the remaining flowers to family, friends, and strangers.
FTD started Good Neighbor Day back in 1994 in hopes of encouraging all neighbors to help create a friendlier, more caring and compassionate world through the gift of flowers.
Not all FTD locations will be giving away free flowers, so check here for all participating locations. Free flowers are available only while supplies last.
If you are part of an FTD store that would like to participate in the event, here is a sign up form.
This year also happens to be FTD's 100th anniversary, so it's definitely worth it to find out what kinds of local events a store near you may be having.
