1. Where to find Best Buy Deals & Coupons
Each week, Best Buy comes out with special deals ranging from 10% - 30% off on select electronics like computer, digital cameras, HDTVs. You can find these offers in their weekly ad found in your local Sunday newspaper. You can also find their flyer at the front of all stores or on bestbuy.com. You can also find the latest deals and printable coupons on BeFrugal.com
Access Best Buy’s service page for featured saving offers on Geek Squad services, such as 20% off home theater installations.
A lot of retail stores are utilizing Facebook and Twitter to post amazing coupons and deals. You can access Best Buy’s Facebook and Twitter pages without having an account of your own unless you want to participate.
You can also download the Best Buy app for Android, iPhone or your iPad to view their daily deals, weekly ad, and complete your purchase right from your phone. In addition, you can scan product barcodes in the store with the app to read product info, customer reviews and compare prices.
For deals and rebates on appliances, check their Energy star partner page for the latest rebate offers. Best Buy is proud to partner with Energy Star to provide their customers with products that will make a difference in the environment and on their wallet.
Best Buy offers a 14-day price guarantee. If your item is cheaper within 14 days of your original purchase date, you can get the difference refunded.
2. Buying Online is Cheaper
When it comes to buying electronics, make sure you do your research first. If you head to a Best Buy store, you risk being overwhelmed with their large selection and might even end up buying something that doesn’t fit your needs or your wallet. Frequently, Best Buy will offer cheaper prices online than they are in the store (only on select products). You’ll also be able to read customer reviews and compare product specifications to make sure you are getting the best deals. For free shipping, you can request to pick up your item at your local Best Buy store. After you complete your order, you’ll receive an email informing you on when you can pick up your item at your Best Buy location – You can usually pick up your item within minutes or days.
3. Shop the Outlets
For amazing deals on overstocked and refurbished items, check out Best Buy’s online Outlet Center! There you’ll find amazing deals on overstocked and refurbished items up to 50% off the retail price. Unfortunately, outlet items must be shipped and cannot be picked up in the store.
4. Deal of the Day
Monday through Friday on bestbuy.com, you can find one featured product at an amazing deal. Checkout needs to be completed that day to receive the discount. Best Buy Daily Deals are only available online and standard shipping charge is free or you can pick it up in the store (if eligible).
5. Buy Back Program
If you’re the type of buyer that likes to upgrade your electronics to the latest devices every year, we recommend purchasing Best Buy’s Buy Back Program. Your buy back amount is based on how long you have had the product, how much you paid for it, and if it is still in good working condition. Prices for the Buy Back Program also vary depending on the type and price of the product. For instance if you bought a $650 TV and the Buy Back Program for an extra $60, between 6-12 months of owning the product you could receive a Buy Back gift card worth $260 to spend on anything at Best Buy. Up to 6 months you could receive 50% of the purchase price, 12-18 months 30% and 18-48 months 20% (on TVs only). Please refer to their Buy Back FAQs for more exclusions.
6. Missed a Sale? Ask for a Raincheck
If an item is on sale in Best Buy’s weekly ad but is sold out, you can ask for a raincheck. Once that item is in stock again (even if the sale is over) you can go back to the store and purchase that item at that sales price. However make sure your item isn’t on sale because it is being discontinued. In those cases, you can never use your raincheck because once they are sold out that item will be removed from their system. Rainchecks are valid 45 days after being issued and can be redeemed at any Best Buy store location where the product is in stock. Unfortunately, rainchecks will not be issued during Thanksgiving Day sale.
7. Rewards Zone
Apply for a Reward Zone membership to start earning points on all Best Buy purchases. You’ll earn about 1 point for every $1 spent. There are opportunities to earn more points on select items and services. Once you reach 250 points, you’ll receive a $5 reward certificate good towards your future purchases at Best Buy. There is no fee to join and you’ll get access to exclusive sale events, product pre-orders, concert tickets and more.
If you spend over $2500 in a calendar year, you’ll qualify to become a Premier Silver card member where you’ll have even more perks.
8. Buy Discounted Best Buy Gift Cards
You should never pay full price for gift cards to Best Buy! Either as gift ideas or just for yourself, you can purchase discounted gift cards for up to 25% off their retail value. The best places to find Best Buy discounted gift cards would be to search ebay.com or use a discounted gift card finder.
9. Earn Cash Back on Your Online Order

10. Become a Best Buy Employee
The most exciting reward to working in retail is the employee discount! After 3 months of employment at Best Buy, employees are eligible for their discount of 10% more than what Best Buy paid for an item. For instance, Best Buy buys an item from the manufacturer for $100, employees can buy that item for $110 - Far below the customer retail price. After 90 days of employment, you can purchase product service plans at 55% off.

After all this shopping and saving, if in the unfortunate event you are unhappy with your recent Best Buy purchase there are a few things you should know:
1. Contact Customer Service: The first place to start addressing your concerns is directly with a Best Buy Customer Service representative. You can either head into a store to speak with an associate at the Customer Service desk or contact Best Buy customer service department. You can also browse through or post topics on Best Buy’s customer service forum.
2. Best Buy Return Policy: Best Buy’s return policy varies on product type and purchase method: online or in-store. Acceptable timeframes to full refunds (with a receipt) on computers, monitors, digital cameras, ipads, tablets, projectors is 14 days; 30 days for all other products and 45 days for all products for Rewards Zone Premier Silver members. You can return online orders in-store to avoid shipping charges back to bestbuy.com – Bring your original packaging and packing receipt. Refer to Best Buy’s return policy for more exclusions.
