With each passing day, Halloween is creeping closer and closer. Hopefully you've been making the best out of Halloween candy, decoration, and costume sales. If you haven't even thought about Halloween yet, don't worry. There's still plenty of time to pull together an awesome costume.
If you have young children, buying them a brand new costume each year can be expensive and unnecessary. They younger they are, the less likely they are to care about how new or expensive their costume is.
So why not have fun and get creative with some low budget, do-it-yourself Halloween costumes.
Better Homes and Gardens has some great ideas for children's costumes made mostly from items you already have lying around the house. You might need to run out to your local craft store for a few extras, but for the most part you will be spending next to nothing on your child's awesome costume.
Some of my favorite DIY costumes are Octopus Baby, Scaly Serpent, Jack and the Beanstalk, Ready to Leap Frog, and Grandpa Gus.
Are you planning on making a homemade costume this year? Do you have any great ideas or helpful DIY tips?
