Everyone like money and sometimes you need more than what you have.  If you have goals such as padding your emergency savings, buying a pair of boots you don't need but really want or paying off debt it's good to have a side job.  I know that working after already working for 8 hours isn't fun. Rather than punching yet another time clock take a look at these ideas to help pad your pocket.

1. Dog Walking - If your a dog lover this is perfect. Put up an add on craigslist and ask the local vet if you could leave some flyers there.  Be sure to see what other dog walkers are charging in your area before you set a price.
2. "Date Night" Sitter -  Finding someone you trust to watch your kids is hard. Weekend nights are an even harder time to find a sitter. On Friday and/or Saturday nights offer up your services to friends and neighbors.  Be ready with games, movies and kid friendly food!
3. Give Your Opinion - I have a friend whom tries to make a buck wherever she can.  While in college doing paid surveys was her ultimate form of procrastination.  To switch it up,  she would do a focus group if it could get her free stuff. Surveys can earn you anything from $5 - $150. Check out free paid surveys, Synovate and find focus groups.
4. Pet Sitting - Kennels are uber pricey and there are people can't afford to put Fido in a kennel plus pay for travel. If you're iffy on having a few pets in your home set a size limit. You can also offer to feed and check in on pets kept in the owners home. Put an ad up on SitterCity to start!
5. Photography - Do you have a fancy camera and know how to use it? You can start photographing children, parties, weddings and more. You could also take interesting pictures and put them on an appropriate site and make money every time someone uses it.
6. Baking - Sell your yummy baked goods! I've made cakes and more for birthdays,  showers and holiday parties. Be sure to ask about any food allergies and look into local health laws.
7. Teach Something - Do you have any special skills? Play the piano, speak a different language or good at math? Try tutoring someone to help them bring up their skills.
8. Clean Houses or Offices - Definitely not the most glamorous job but you'd be surprised how many people don't want to clean.  Being a neat freak I decided to do this for my summer job a few years ago. I was able to pay for a semester of private college in cash,  pay for a trip to California in cash and still had money left over.  Just by cleaning 3 small offices and 2 houses!
9. Mystery Shopping - If you like to shop and know what customer service should be this one is for you.  After registering with a legitimate company you get paid to go into different stores and restaurants then report back to comment on what you see.
10. Yard Work - If you have the tools might as well put them to extra use.  In the spring/summer offer lawing mowing and gardening services.  During the winter most people don't want to shovel snow so why not make some money off the lazy folk!
11. Deliver Newspapers - See if any newspapers in your area needs someone to do early morning delivers. You'll make extra money and will already be up in time for your regular job.
12. Tailoring - My mother-in-law makes some decent money doing this. When prom season came around she was attached to her sewing machine.  In her sewing room you can always find a rack of clothes she's working on.
