Happy August everyone. \u00a0Have you been enjoying the lovely summer weather rather than shopping? Retailers know that people are enjoying the last bit of summer freedom during the month of August so it's a funny month for sales.<\/p>\n

Here is a list of goods that you can find some great deals on this August.<\/p>\n

  1. School & Office Supplies - This one is a given. If your not in the market for school supplies take inventory of what you will need for office supplies the year. Stock up on these items while they are on sale. Staples<\/a> and\u00a0Office Depot<\/a> are offering some great deals on school and office supplies both online and\u00a0in stores.<\/li>\n
  2. Dorm Type Furniture - Need some stacking crates, bean bag chairs or a futon? Walmart<\/a> is having some fantastic deals on dorm furniture and storage crates. \u00a0The Container Store<\/a>, Get Organized<\/a> and OfficeMax<\/a> are also great places to check out for storage goods.<\/li>\n
  3. Hotel Stays - Business trips are slowing down and people are coming back to reality from their summer vacations so it's time to find some great deals for a last minute summer getaway. This time last year Orbtiz<\/a> cut hotel stays by up to 15% and Hotels.com<\/a> also had deals up to 50% off.   5. Laptops\u00a0- As students head back to school stores are marking down prices to help\u00a0fulfill\u00a0the needs of students. The usual suspects of Lenovo<\/a>, HP<\/a>, Newegg<\/a>, TigerDirect<\/a>, Dell<\/a> and PC Connection<\/a> are great places to start looking.<\/li>\n
  6. Shoes - Yes I did say shoes. The avid shoe lover can find great deals on shoes all year round (especially those of us who live for the clearance section) but even the shoe novice can find some great deals during August. Steve Madden<\/a> is making me a very happy lady with 30% off all clearance.
