With school coming to an end many of you maybe wondering what to do with the kiddos this summer. If you\u00a0envision\u00a0dollars signs flying everywhere when you think about summer activities don't\u00a0despair. \u00a0Here are some frugal fun activities\u00a0to enjoy this summer.<\/p>\n

  1. Children's\u00a0Museums<\/a>. Many major cities have these fantastic museum that encourage an \"hands on\"\u00a0approach\u00a0to learning. Check with your local museum to see if there are any days that have discounted admissions.<\/li>\n
  2. Like to bowl? AMF will let your kids 16 and under to bowl for free <\/a>this summer!<\/li>\n
  3. No AMF locations in your neck of the woods? Kids Bowl Free<\/a> will help you find a free location near you.<\/li>\n
  4. Find out where kids eat for free<\/a> in your area.<\/li>\n
  5. Regal Cinemas <\/a>offers select kid friendly movies for $1 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10 AM.<\/li>\n
  6. Got kid's 5-12? Head over to Home Depot on the first Saturday of the month for a free workshop<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  7. Head over to one of the free family friendly events<\/a> that Target sponsors.<\/li>\n
  8. If you have a group of 3 or more Cinemark Theaters<\/a> has 75 cent admission on Mondays!<\/li>\n
  9. Plan a picnic. \u00a0Have your little ones help you whip up some of your picnic favorites and head outdoors for some family fun time.<\/li>\n
  10. Open a\u00a0lemonade\u00a0stand. It's old fashion but it's educational and fun at the same time. If your liking this idea, why not teach your kids about helping others as well?! Check out Alex's Lemonade<\/a> which is a nonprofit that helps kid's set up their own lemonade stand to help fund cancer research. \u00a0Register online to\u00a0receive all the you need to start a lemonade stand.\u00a0Your kid's will learn about finances and help a good cause!<\/li>\n
  11. Volunteer! Check out WaysToHelp.org<\/a> for volunteer\u00a0opportunities\u00a0appropriate for children and teens.<\/li>\n
  12. Go to the\u00a0library. Many\u00a0libraries\u00a0often have free programs such as story tie to craft time. You can remind your kid's about those things made of paper called books as well as borrow DVDs and more. \u00a0Also, when you visit the\u00a0library\u00a0be sure to check out any boards that maybe up promoting local\u00a0activities.<\/li>\n
  13. Kids.gov<\/a> has some fun educational games when the weather isn't too great for playing outside.<\/li>\n
  14. Check out Bookworm Wednesdays<\/a> at National Amusements\u00a0Theaters. When your child brings in a book report they will get free admission to a children's movie.<\/li>\n
  15. Go hiking or biking. Check out TrailLink.com<\/a> which is powered by Rails to Trails,<\/a> a nonprofit that is transforming\u00a0abandoned\u00a0railroad tracks into trails suited for everything but driving. \u00a0Also check out Trails.com<\/a> and the National Park Service<\/a> to find a trail near you.<\/li>\n
  16. If you have a Bank of America credit, debit or ATM card you can get free admission to select museums and educational centers<\/a> the first weekend of each month.<\/li>\n
  17. Check out Free Attractions<\/a>. This database lists free attractions across the United States.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
