While looking at the prices of pre-made Easter basket I suddenly had a slight taste of puke in my mouth.<\/p>\n<p>As many of you know those high priced baskets are filled with grass that the family dog (or cat) will try to eat, toys that break in 5 minutes and a plethora of refined sugar that will keep the kids bouncing off the walls all day long.<\/p>\n<p>Now that I've done some research I have a much better idea how I'm going to get the biggest bang for my buck. Here are some of my favorite ideas for Easter baskets.<\/p>\n<p>Containers Instead of Baskets<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Easter bonnets. If you decide to buy your little lady an Easter bonnet turn it upside down and fill with treats<\/li>\n<li>Plastic pail and shovel sets<\/li>\n<li>Wagons<\/li>\n<li>Purses for older girls<\/li>\n<li>Toy truck<\/li>\n<li>Bike helmets<\/li>\n<li>Plastic storage containers<\/li>\n<li>Flower pot with gardening type items in there<\/li>\n<li>Baseball cap<\/li>\n<li>Decorated paint can<\/li>\n<li>Backpack<\/li>\n<li>Jewelry box<\/li>\n<li>Tackle box<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Filler Ideas<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Crayons<\/li>\n<li>Reusable\u00a0plastic eggs filled with candy or small toys<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/tipnut.com\/10-homemade-playdough-recipes\/\" target=\"_blank\">Homemade\u00a0play-dough<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Yo-yos<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.instructables.com\/id\/GIANT-bubble-blower\/\" target=\"_blank\">DIY bubbles and\u00a0bubble wand <\/a><\/li>\n<li>Jump rope<\/li>\n<li>Hair ribbons and barrettes<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/preschool.uen.org\/curriculum\/may\/Egg_Chalk.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Sidewalk chalk eggs<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Stickers<\/li>\n<li>Nail polish<\/li>\n<li>Rice crispy treats or popcorn balls\u00a0shaped\u00a0in eggs<\/li>\n<li>Deck of cards<\/li>\n<li>Change purse<\/li>\n<li>Glitter<\/li>\n<li>Markers<\/li>\n<li>Slinkies<\/li>\n<li>Books<\/li>\n<li>Homemade trail mix<\/li>\n<li>Coloring books<\/li>\n<li>Sunglasses<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Do you have any Easter basket ideas you'd like to share?
