From freshing your fridge to treating sore throats lemons can be used for a multitude of things. Here are a few of my favorite alternative uses for lemons!<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><em>Soften Feet<\/em> - Make a paste of brown sugar and lemon pulp. Rub into your feet then rinse and moisturize. This will help get rid of the most stubborn\u00a0calluses.<\/li>\n<li><em>Highlight Your Hair<\/em> - Mix \u00a0together 1\/4 cup of lemon juice with 3\/4 cup of water. Rinse your hair with this mixture and get some sun until your hair is dry. \u00a0After about 1 week you'll see your natural highlights.<\/li>\n<li><em>Soften Skin<\/em> - Make a body scrub of equal parts of sugar and olive oil then mix in chopped up lemon peel. Rub the mixture into your skin while your in the shower, rinse off and feel your silky smoothness.<\/li>\n<li><em>Polish Faucets<\/em> - Rub lemons into faucets to remove tough stains.<\/li>\n<li><em>Polish Wood Furniture<\/em> - Mix together 1\/2 cup of lemon juice and 1 cup of\u00a0vegetable\u00a0oil together in a spray bottle. Spray onto wood furniture and rub in with a soft cloth.<\/li>\n<li><em>Freshen the Air<\/em> - Boil lemon rinds in a pot of water to help freshen the air at home. \u00a0If you'd like a spray to use, take the juice of 1 whole lemon and place it in a spray bottle with a tea bag. Spray into the air as you like.<\/li>\n<li><em>Cleaning The Cutting Board <\/em>- Lemons have\u00a0antibacterial\u00a0qualities that make them a good cleaning agent. After scrubbing down your cutting board, rub the surface will a lemon then let sit before rinsing. If you were cutting onions on that board use some of the lemon juice to get rid of that pesky onion smell that can stay on your hands.<\/li>\n<li><em>Keep Rice From Sticking<\/em> - While boiling water for rice add about a teaspoon of lemon to avoid any sticking.<\/li>\n<li><em>Turn Off Roaches &amp; Fleas <\/em>-\u00a0Ewe\u00a0nobody likes roaches and fleas so be sure to wash your floors with 4 lemon rinds and the juice from those lemons with every 1\/2 gallon of water.<\/li>\n<li><em>Keep Your White Kicks Clean<\/em> - Try this trick instead of neurotically scrubbing your white sneakers. Spray your favorite white sneakers with lemon juice and place them in the sun to dry. The acids in the lemons will help lighten any gunk off your sneakers.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>What are your favorite uses for lemons?
